Man landed on the moon on July 20, 1969. Fifty years later and in the year 2020 (hindsight being 2020), we examine major scientific and technological advances, and their impact on our planet and lives. We also look forward at what the future holds for us. Scientific, faith, ethical and social lenses will be used to frame the presentations and panel discussions.
The St. Mary's University School of Science, Engineering and Technology will host the annual Conference on Justice and Social Concerns on Feb. 17 and 18.
The Conference on Justice and Social Concerns provides our campus community with the opportunity to engage with issues of social justice, faith, and personal and communal responsibility to the common good. In this two-day conference, experts in both academic and practical realms will come together to lead our campus in dialogue around issues challenging our community locally and globally.
