Claudia Herrera-Montero, Ph.D., is a Catholic practical theologian and an Assistant Professor of Theology at Dominican University in Chicago. Her scholarly work sits at the intersection of U.S. Latina theologies and practical theology. Herrera’s research focuses on Participatory Action Research with college-age Latina/o students in Catholic Hispanic-serving institutions of higher education. This work has opened pathways to better engage underrepresented college-age students and their communities/comunidades in both the classroom and ministerial settings. She has also played a significant role in training Hispanic ministry leaders in the U.S. Dioceses of the Southeast. She serves as the secretary of the Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians of the United States.
