2016 Presidential Award Recipient - ALEJANDRO COTO

The Presidential Award recognizes graduates who exemplify the leadership ideals of scholarship and service as expressed in the mission  of St. Mary’s University. To qualify for this award, recipients must:

• Be graduating in 2014-15
• Have earned a GPA of at least 3.0
• Have completed at least four semesters at St. Mary’s
• Have demonstrated an active leadership role in student life and activities at St. Mary’s and in the greater community
• Be a positive influence in promoting the spirit and charism of St. Mary’s and the Marianist tradition
• Have demonstrated servant leadership as an outstanding representative of St. Mary’s University and higher education

Candidates were nominated by faculty and staff, and were selected by a committee of faculty, staff and administration.
