Margaret R. Langford, Ph.D.
Professor of Management
While earning her doctorate, Langford was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Houston. Before that, she worked for several years at Texas Commerce Bank in Houston, for which she was responsible for developing and delivering a training program for a new check imaging technology. To be able to do so, she worked closely with the developers and banking staff at the beta site, Texas Commerce Bank in Dallas. She later returned to Texas Commerce Bank in Houston as a supervisor in the Customer Information Services area.
Before working at Texas Commerce Bank, Langford taught for four years in Fort Stockton. She taught two years of sixth-grade reading and two years of high school English, and was the faculty adviser for various student activities. She is a New Braunfels High School graduate but spent much of her childhood in Saudi Arabia, where her parents worked for Aramco.
Langford has co-authored articles published in Equal Opportunities International, Journal of Behavior and Entrepreneurship, Academy of Entrepreneurship Journal, Entrepreneurial Executive, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Latin American Business Review, Journal of Managerial Issues, and International Journal of the Academic Business World. In addition, she is the single author of articles in the Journal of the Academy of Business Education and the Southern Journal of Business and Ethics. Langford is a member of the Academy of Management.
