The Presidential Award recognizes graduates who exemplify the leadership ideals of scholarship and service as expressed in the mission of St. Mary’s University.

To qualify for this award, recipients must:

-Be graduating in 2017-2018
-Have earned a GPA of at least 3.0
-Have completed at least four semesters at St. Mary’s
-Have demonstrated an active leadership role in student life and activities at St. Mary’s and in the greater community
-Be a positive influence in promoting the spirit and charism of St. Mary’s and the Marianist tradition
-Have demonstrated servant leadership as an outstanding representative of St. Mary’s University and higher education
-Candidates were nominated by faculty and staff, and were selected by a committee of faculty, staff and administration.
